Jay Santos nació en Bogotá, Colombia. A los diez años se trasladó junto a su padre a Roma, Italia, donde cursó sus estudios en la Scuola Media Statale Ludovico Pavoni. Durante esta etapa descubrió su pasión por la música, aprendiendo a tocar la guitarra y el piano, y dejándose influenciar profundamente por la música italiana de los años 90, que marcaría su sensibilidad artística. A los dieciocho años se mudó a Madrid, España, donde reconectó con sus raíces latinas y con los ritmos que siempre lo habían acompañado: salsa, vallenato, merengue, bachata, cumbia y reguetón.
En 2012 lanzó su primer sencillo junto a Henry Méndez y José de Rico, titulado “Noche de Estrellas”. El tema se convirtió en un éxito arrollador, siendo el vídeo musical más visto en España ese año y consolidándose hasta hoy como un himno de la música urbana latina en España. En 2013, Jay Santos debutó como solista con su mayor éxito internacional, “Caliente”, un tema que traspasó fronteras y obtuvo dos discos de platino y dos de oro en Italia y Francia. Gracias a este sencillo, recorrió escenarios de España, Chile, Italia, Albania, Suiza y Francia, consolidándose como una referencia latina en países no hispanohablantes.

En 2015 hizo historia al convertirse en el primer artista latino en tener una residencia en la mítica discoteca Privilege Ibiza. Ese mismo año, su sello Envimusic firmó un acuerdo de distribución con Sony Music Spain, con quien lanzó el éxito mundial “Dale Morena”, que se convirtió en un auténtico himno para la comunidad Zumba a nivel global.
En 2016, bajo el sello Sony Music Spain, publicó el single “Baila” junto al artista dominicano Fuego, acompañado de un videoclip rodado en Marbella, España. A lo largo de su carrera, Jay Santos se ha presentado en Venues icónicos como Ushuaïa Ibiza (abriendo para Daddy Yankee) y Hï Ibiza (como opening act de Tyga). Su música continúa haciendo bailar a públicos de todo el mundo.
En 2025 presentó su nueva propuesta artística con el tour mundial “T”, un espectáculo futurista que fusiona Afro, Tech House, Dembow y Reguetón, con una escenografía impactante y las tecnologías más avanzadas en iluminación y efectos visuales. Paralelamente, lanzó su nuevo formato global BLISS.
En 2026, Jay Santos sorprende además con sus primeros sencillos interpretados íntegramente en italiano, reafirmando su identidad como la perfecta fusión entre el fuego latino colombiano y la elegancia italiana. Ese mismo año, Jay Santos presenta “Llegamos a la Disco”, su nuevo hit junto a Santiago, El Fother y Peterking, producido por el prestigioso productor colombiano Gabryels. Un tema explosivo de pista de baile destinado a sonar sin parar en clubs, festivales y radios de todo el mundo. Jay Santos continúa evolucionando, llevando su música y su energía hacia nuevos horizontes.

Jay Santos was born in Bogotá, Colombia. At the age of ten, he moved with his father to
Rome, Italy, where he attended Ludovico Pavoni Middle School. During this period, he
discovered his passion for music, learning to play the guitar and piano, while being deeply
inspired by Italian music of the 1990s, which would later shape his artistic sensitivity.
At eighteen, he moved to Madrid, Spain, where he reconnected with his Latin roots and the
rhythms that had always accompanied him: salsa, vallenato, merengue, bachata, cumbia,
and reggaeton.

In 2012, he released his first single alongside Henry Méndez and José de Rico, titled “Noche
de Estrellas”. The song became a massive success, turning into the most viewed video in
Spain that year and remaining to this day an anthem of Latin urban music in Europe.
In 2013, Jay Santos launched his solo career with his biggest international hit, “Caliente”.
The track crossed borders, earning two platinum and two gold certifications in Italy and
France. With this release, he performed across Spain, Chile, Italy, Albania, Switzerland, and
France, establishing himself as a Latin reference artist in non-Spanish-speaking countries.

In 2015, he made history by becoming the first Latin artist to hold a residency at the
legendary Privilege Ibiza. That same year, his label Envimusic signed a distribution deal with
Sony Music Spain, through which he released the global hit “Dale Morena”, now a
worldwide anthem for the Zumba community.

In 2016, under Sony Music Spain, he released the single “Baila” featuring Dominican artist
Fuego, accompanied by a music video filmed in Marbella, Spain. Jay Santos has also
performed in 2019 at iconic venues such as Ushuaïa Ibiza (opening for Daddy Yankee) and
Hï Ibiza (as opening act for Tyga).

His music continues to make audiences dance worldwide. In 2025, he introduced his new
artistic vision with the world tour “TEKTON”, a futuristic show blending Afro, Tech House, Dembow, and Reggaeton, featuring spectacular stage design and cutting-edge lighting and visual
effects. Alongside this, he also launched his new global format, BLISS.

This year, Jay Santos surprised audiences with his first singles entirely in Italian, further
solidifying his identity as the perfect fusion of Colombian Latin fire and Italian elegance.
Jay Santos continues to evolve, bringing his music and energy to new horizons, in 2026,
Santos presents “Llegamos a la Disco”, his new hit alongside Santiago, El Fother, and
Peterking, produced by renowned Colombian producer Gabryels. A high-energy dancefloor
anthem set to be heard everywhere.
